Photos from Ceder City..

The Shakespearean Festival...

Every year the Johns family goes to the Shakespearean Festival in Ceder City. Papa Johns always buys the tickets 1 yr in advance because we always sit front row, right in the center! Which is great! I really look forward to going. I love going and getting to spend some time with the fam and the plays are amazing. On thursday we drove there and that night we saw "The Two Gentlemen of Verona". Friday we headed out to St. George to the outlets and mall to do some shopping. That night we saw "Cyrano de Bergerac". The main actor Brian Vaughn did an excellent job. Chris and I both agree that this was our favorite play this year. Then the last day we went to Navajo Lake then Ceder Breaks and then through Brian Head. It was so pretty out there! The best part of the day was when Chris was at a look out taking some pictures and I was getting tired of waiting so i sat down at a little rock wall just behind him. To the side of me there was this cute little french family just looking at the scenery. I suddenly looked up at chris and noticed that his shorts were ripped pretty much through the whole butt area. I was cracking up! So funny.. So I went and told Chris and I am sure that family thought we were crazy cause we both just were laughing so hard! I have no idea how he pulled it off to get that big of a tear, and even better how long had it been that way and how many people had seen it! I loved it. Then to finish off the day we saw "The Taming of the Shrew". Very funny. They did it in a 1940 setting so it was kinda fun to have something a little different. Thank you so much Papa Johns and Becky for such a great trip! The slide show is up above...

4th of July!

I know.. I haven't posted in a really long time! So here is our 4th of July like 3 weeks later :) Chris had the day off so we got to play all day! We started out at the North Ogden Parade and caught otter pops and lots of candy. We were expecting it to be super hot but the clouds ended up coming to our rescue for pretty much the whole parade. We then got ready to go to my families bbq and I decided that fruit pizza sounded good so i pushed the cookie crust part into the bottom of the pan and went to put it into to oven. Well in our apartment we don't have a full size oven( very annoying). So Chris had this idea to prop it up on another pan so that we could close up the oven a little better. Perfect, problem solved. Until i smell a little burning scent. I open up the oven and the cookie crust was sliding out the other end of the pan! So i grabbed it out and tried to mold it back into a normal crust. It didn't look good, thank goodness nobody sees that part! It still tasted great! We then watched some of the Weber Fireworks from a distance and then we decided to try and haul our love sac to my parents house to watch some fireworks they were going to set off! We have this utility cover that we have never used so it was fun to be able to take our love sac outside! The only problem was trying to get it on the car.. but of course Chris found a way and it worked! We passed like 5 cops and i couldn't believe we didn't get pulled over!

AFCU Lagoon Day

This last Sat. was america first lagoon day. So we got in for 5.00 each which is a steal with how crazy expensive it is now! So thank you AFCU! Here Chris & I are at Lagoon and as you can see we are in the parking lot... I think we spent almost the same amount of time driving and walking into the park as we did in the park:) That my be a bit over exaggerated but we didn't stay long. We rode all the rides we wanted and had dinner there so it was just perfect. I always forget how HOT it gets when you are just running around from ride to ride. I was also very amazed at the "interesting" people that are there.. everywhere! I don't know if it has just changed since I was little or now I just notice more stuff but Lagoon was way more exciting when i was little. Not saying I didn't have fun, but I much rather just go to Disneyland!:) (I have been to spoiled with the many trips to Disney)

I've been tagged... Home in Pictures...

I got tagged and usually i am not one to be very excited about tags but i thought this one is kinda fun. I lucked out cause the day that i finally had time to do it Chris and I both had the day off! So while he did homework i cleaned up a little. So here we go...

1. The Kitchen Sink

I usually try to keep up with the dishes but with no dishwasher that can be very difficult at times.. Lately we have been using a lot of plastic cups! It has saved me a ton of time! My sink only looks like this days I have off!

2. Toilet

Isn't it just beautiful.. :) Who ever decided to pick the toilet to be in a tag..?

3. The Fridge
How embarrassing! My fridge is pretty messy. We usually have lots of left overs and i hate to clean it all out so it is normal for it to be full of everything! Mostly a lot of milk!

4. What are your kids doing?

Ha ha.. umm.. Parker has been following me all over and then rolling over on his back cause he wants some love and attention!

5. Favorite Room

This is where Chris and I spend most of our time.. We usually even eat in this room cause our kitchen is so dang small! Got to love apartments!

This love sac is by far my most favorite spot to sit! I love it so much! I would probably sleep here if my bed wasn't so great! We love just snuggling up and watching movies in this thing!

6. (misc) My Bedroom!
Can you tell I love red? Some day when we have a house i can't wait to paint walls the colors i want and not have ugly wall paper! But until then this will do..

7. Dirtiest Room: Our 2nd room down stairs.. It is the computer/food storage/foosball/anything we don't know what to do with room....

I know, I know.. It is seriously a HUGE mess.. I just pray that someday when we have a house we will have a storage room!
8. Self Portrait
I know what you are thinking.. What a beautiful couple! j/k.. Here we are just settling into our love sac to watch some King of Queens right before bed! So obviously there is no makeup and we look great! Chris thinks he is pretty funny and by the looks of it i think so too! :)

9. Dream Vacation...
I would have to say that my dream vacation would be going anywhere where i get to spend endless hours with chris.. I know that sounds cheesy but seriously we have been on quite a few trips and they are all fun! We just always have a blast together.. I would love to go to Hawaii or back to mexico or anywhere like that...

Well That is my home in pictures.. As much as i do like our apartment i can't wait to get into a house someday so I am sure i will have to do this all over again then. I tag: Amanda, Malissa, Angela, Tiffo, Krissy, and anyone else who wants to do this! It really is kinda fun!

Wii Fit

Here is me striking a pose on the Wii Fit! I am doing Yoga which according to the wii I am not as balanced as I thought I would be at it. The little sensor board really is pretty cool. It can tell every move you make and teaches you how to distribute your weight better and equally. There is a lot of fun games you can play on it and it gets you off the couch and doing something! Sometimes I think that Chris and I are just like kids playing around all the time... But when Chris was waiting in line to get the Wii Fit he said that most of the other people there with him were elderly people. :) so maybe we are just the other way around, Or maybe that just means we are exercising just like 70 yr olds. Either way it is way fun! Parker for some reason LOVES sitting on it... It is almost a battle when i move it out cause he wants to be right there.

Fun Swimming, Painful days after...

On Wednesday Katie and Reese Deamer(isn't she cute!), and I decided that it was warm enough for us to go swimming. We were all excited to get out there cause we just had gotten our cute swimming suits from modbe! So even though it was hot it was plenty warm to get in the water and play. Plus little Reese hasn't been in the pool much and was having her first swimming lesson on Sat. so Katie thought it might be good for her to try it out! Well Reese was not as excited as we thought she would be. She liked sitting on the towel not in the water much better. But we still got to play in the pool lots and we had lots of fun! Well when we left my shoulders were a little pink but I thought i had made it pretty good without burning.. Boy was i wrong. Later that day my shoulders got red and my legs were on fire! Later that night they got worse and worse and seriously my legs were almost purple! Ouch! I thought I had been so careful! I used sunscreen! Well anyway I went to work the next day barely able to walk. Then my wonderful co-workers(Angela) took me to get some burn free. That stuff is amazing! It is like aloe vera gel but it lasts much longer.. It kinda numbed my legs a little! I highly recommend it!

Memorial Day Weekend

For Chris's side of the family memorial day is pretty much one of the biggest holidays of the year. We all get together with most of his cousins and aunts and uncles and play games on Sunday. Most play games till late and then find somewhere to sleep at Chris's parents house. We all then wake up to a nice breakfast and prepare ourselves for the bbq that Papa Johns(My father in-law) will rotisserie up for us! It is always fun to get to see all of the family again and see all of their little kids grow! I must admit that our little wii has probably never gotten played so hard and long as it did this weekend! The kids loved it! It is a very fun little tradition and I know that Chris would not miss it for anything! Also on Memorial day I was able to sneak away and visit my little niece and nephew's grave! They had just gotten the headstone in so it was great to get to go see it! I am so glad they were able to be buried here so i can go visit them whenever i want! Then to top off our already busy weekend we decided to drive down to slc to i could see my family on Memorial Day too! Of course then eat more food there too! Pretty busy weekend but very fun!

Our 2 year Anniversary!

On April 22 Chris and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary! I can't believe how fast time has flown by! It seems like it was just barely that we were trying to get everything planned to get married and here we are two years later. I couldn't have asked for any better years than these have been. We have had so much fun being married. We have been lucky enough to get to go on quite a few trips since then and have just been enjoying being together. Also trying to get Chris through school (which is looking like will happen this spring)! For our honeymoon we got to spend it in Mexico, last year in California, and this year in South Carolina. We figure we better get around as much as possible before we are blessed with kids! :) I am so happy that these first 2 years have been so great and i can't wait to spend so many more together in the future!
