Fall Drive

During the conference break on sunday I told Chris we had to go for a drive to see the leaves before they were all gone.  So off we went up the N. Ogden divide then around the valley and up to snow basin.  It was so pretty! 

 I love to get to see all of the leaves, fall is one of my favorite seasons.  I love the cool air and pretty scenery.  

We had lots of fun and enjoyed playing with eachother all day.  It was warm for a bit and then up at Snow Basin it started to hailing!  So we didn't get out much but the view was just as pretty from the car.

FLOWRIDER

Above is Chris, Ben and Bens cute new girl friend Susan.  Ben came hom from Canada the weekend of conference so we got to play with him for a couple of nights.  So the Sat night Chris got to go do the flowrider with him and some friends.  He had a really good time and by the time they were done he and Ben started to get pretty good at it!

They were moving so fast i couldn't get very good pictures!  It was very entertaining to watch and pretty funny to watch them all try to keep their shorts up.  I guess the water was pretty powerful!:)  Next time i will definatly be doing it with them, I had just had a long day at work and wasn't quite ready for that:)

Cali with the Family

Here is what I saw 6 times during September!  Yes I ditched my husband for the 2nd time in September to head out to California with my Family.  We had so much fun!  The weather was perfect and what could be better then running around Disneyland!  It wasn't very busy and I think the longest we waited for something was like 25 min.  Since Aaron and I were only out there for like 3 days we played hard and ate a lot of delicious food!  It was sad to leave Chris, even though both trips were so so much fun it was good to get back to my hubby:)  Pictures coming soon!  The memory card that they are on is in Washington with my mom!

2nd time in Washington

Back from washington again!  It was so fun to get to go play out there so fast after just getting home.  It was kinda a spur of the moment trip and I can't believe we really got it to work!  Since Sean was out of town on a business trip I had Amanda all to myself and we got some good old sister time!  It was a blast!  Love ya Mandy.. Amanda(my sis) got to come home for a bit at the end of Aug. since her hubby Sean was having a work get together in Park City so we got to play with her for a few days.  We always take an advantage of when they are here since they are so far away!  Then the next week Chris and I took off to Washington to stay out there for 5 days!  We had a lot fun and just relaxed out there.  Chris was able to go job shadow his cousin and Sean(my bro) while we were out there so that was great since he will be graduating in the spring!  He needs to find out what he wants to do after that!  It was perfect weather while we were out there.  And it is always good to see my nephew frodo:

And now as of Monday I am out of here to play with Amanda for 5 more days this weekend! Yay!  Except a little sad since Chris has to stay here and work and go to school!  I will miss you honey!

It is bad when...

I was tagged by Steph just because I haven't posted for so long that she thought maybe this would make me. :) I know i am a total slacker! Here we go... 6 facts about me....

1. I love, love, love to travel. I am sure my co-workers think i do way to often but i would take a trip every month if I could afford it!

2. I am stubborn. Chris deals with me very well i think. I can be a very laid back person about most things but when there is something I don't like or don't want to do I will not do it no matter how much someone tries to get me to. It also can take me a long time to admit that I am wrong. Even if I know I am.

3. I enjoy cooking. If I have a day off I love to cook something. I think it is fun to try making new things and I love having Chris be the test taster.

4. Chapstick Addict. I don't know if any of you have seen inside of my purse but there is almost always atleast 10-15 things of chapstick or lipgloss. I know it is sad but there is so many different kinds that i need for so many different times. :)

5. I can be a home-body. Don't get me wrong cause I love to get out with friends and play all night long, but some of my very favorite nights are when Chris and I just spend the night watching a movie and looking like bums.

6. I love animals. I know some people think I am crazy for caring so much about animals but I really am kinda a tree hugger for animals. I don't want a lot of pets, I just think they should be treated nicely. I think hunting is sad and am so grateful I married someone who doesn't do it. But I do eat meat so I am a total hippacrite. It just makes me sad though. I can watch movies and I totally would rather have the people die than the animal.

Camping At Tony Grove

A few weekends ago we went to Tony Grove for a couple of nights with my family. It was so nice to get out for a weekend and spend some time in the great outdoors:) Mostly we were just lazy and then cooked huge meals but one of the days Chris and I took our little blow up raft out on the lake and just relaxed, then of course i rowed the raft while Chris did a little fly fishing. :) It is funny how much we really eat while we are camping, seriously we always have the most delicious meals while we are out there.. And you wouldn't think that it would be the most convenient time to cook a whole lot but we always do and I love it! Here is the camping beagle. He love to chase the squirrels and to be outside but when it is time to go home he is very ready, I think it is because he is just so excited the whole time. We took our tent up there which is usually just great but we forgot to take an air mattress this time so we slept on the rocks.. We still slept great but I don't know how many nights i could have done that! Good thing it was only 2 nights! I think that I have Chris convinced that it might not be such a bad thing to get our own tent trailer someday.

The Shakespearean Festival...

Every year the Johns family goes to the Shakespearean Festival in Ceder City. Papa Johns always buys the tickets 1 yr in advance because we always sit front row, right in the center! Which is great! I really look forward to going. I love going and getting to spend some time with the fam and the plays are amazing. On thursday we drove there and that night we saw "The Two Gentlemen of Verona". Friday we headed out to St. George to the outlets and mall to do some shopping. That night we saw "Cyrano de Bergerac". The main actor Brian Vaughn did an excellent job. Chris and I both agree that this was our favorite play this year. Then the last day we went to Navajo Lake then Ceder Breaks and then through Brian Head. It was so pretty out there! The best part of the day was when Chris was at a look out taking some pictures and I was getting tired of waiting so i sat down at a little rock wall just behind him. To the side of me there was this cute little french family just looking at the scenery. I suddenly looked up at chris and noticed that his shorts were ripped pretty much through the whole butt area. I was cracking up! So funny.. So I went and told Chris and I am sure that family thought we were crazy cause we both just were laughing so hard! I have no idea how he pulled it off to get that big of a tear, and even better how long had it been that way and how many people had seen it! I loved it. Then to finish off the day we saw "The Taming of the Shrew". Very funny. They did it in a 1940 setting so it was kinda fun to have something a little different. Thank you so much Papa Johns and Becky for such a great trip! The slide show is up above...

4th of July!

I know.. I haven't posted in a really long time! So here is our 4th of July like 3 weeks later :) Chris had the day off so we got to play all day! We started out at the North Ogden Parade and caught otter pops and lots of candy. We were expecting it to be super hot but the clouds ended up coming to our rescue for pretty much the whole parade. We then got ready to go to my families bbq and I decided that fruit pizza sounded good so i pushed the cookie crust part into the bottom of the pan and went to put it into to oven. Well in our apartment we don't have a full size oven( very annoying). So Chris had this idea to prop it up on another pan so that we could close up the oven a little better. Perfect, problem solved. Until i smell a little burning scent. I open up the oven and the cookie crust was sliding out the other end of the pan! So i grabbed it out and tried to mold it back into a normal crust. It didn't look good, thank goodness nobody sees that part! It still tasted great! We then watched some of the Weber Fireworks from a distance and then we decided to try and haul our love sac to my parents house to watch some fireworks they were going to set off! We have this utility cover that we have never used so it was fun to be able to take our love sac outside! The only problem was trying to get it on the car.. but of course Chris found a way and it worked! We passed like 5 cops and i couldn't believe we didn't get pulled over!
